Kenya Pipeline earlier this year in March 2019 retained their Africa Bronze medal after edging out Algeria’s GSP 3-0 during the Africa Volleyball Club Championships in Cairo Egypt.
This was the 4th Bronze for the former African Champions who have also previously won six African crowns.
Despite failing to make it to the finals that was won by defending champions Al Ahly of Egypt , Pipeline had a reason to smile returning home with two crowns in the team Bronze and individual honor as the team’s key attacker Sharon Chepchumba was named the best attacker of the tournament.
Sharon Chepchumba famously known as Chumba was named as the best attacker in her debut appearance at the championship.
Chumba was last year named as the most promising female star of the year during the 2018 Magharibi Michezo Awards and is fast promising to be a star to reckon with in African volleyball.
